Welcome to Mahogha

Mahogha is a social investing platform where you can discover and follow your friends or Influencers and gain access to their stock market portfolio blueprints.

Mahogha frequently conducts Show-your-skills contests to identify users who are great at stock picking. The contest also provides an opportunity to individuals/students/professionals to showcase their knowledge about capital markets and increase their following. As a part of contest each contestant publishes a model portfolio blueprint and win based on the performance of the same. The performance of a model portfolio blueprint is computed based on the hypothetical/ virtual investment in the portfolio blueprints created by contestants and the best performing portfolios would be rewarded.

Like any contest, show-your-skills also has rewards and rules. Below mentioned are the terms for participating and details about rewards. Please read them carefully.

1. How to Participate?

1) Download Mahogha App from Android playstore / IOS App store.

2) After install, Click on contest icon (found near top navigation bar in the Home screen) register for the contest by clicking "I'm in".

3) Click on go to Publish button.

4) Click on create portfolio blueprint. If already created and published, skip to step 7.

5) Provide details such as

  • Portfolio name
  • Typical investment horizon you feel appropriate for your portfolio and
  • Description: Logic used to pick stocks in your portfolio blueprint

6) Select the stocks, assign weight and category (eg: FMCG, IT or long term, short term etc)

7) Publish the portfolio by clicking "PUBLISH". If you don't publish, your portfolio will not be considered for the competition.

8) Go to the Home tab (by clicking on home at the bottom navigation bar).

When you publish your portfolio, an initial virtual investment of Rs. 1 million would be made in the stocks based on weights assigned by you. Virtual return on this investment is used to identify the winners of this contest.

Contestants can edit the portfolio blueprint during the contest period, but the changes will be effective, and a revised portfolio would be created only if it is published (by clicking publish button). Once the edited portfolio is published, the version number will increase. Every time the blueprint version is changed, the existing stocks would be sold (virtually) and new stocks, based on the revised portfolio, would be bought as per new weights. EOD prices would be considered for all such virtual transactions.

2. Rewards

Top three winners of contest would be rewarded with Amazon vouchers with amounts mentioned below:

  • Top performer Rs. 2,500/-
  • Second best performer Rs. 1,500/-
  • Third best performer Rs. 500/-
  • Consolation prize: Amazon voucher for having maximum followers (should be greater than 50) worth Rs. 500/-

Details about the rewards would be sent to registered email address within 7 working days of the contest end date. In case of tie, the first published portfolio would be considered winners.

3. Date of publication and performance computations

Registration for contest: 8th Jan 2022 to 16th Jan 2022

Contest period: 16th Jan 2022 to 21st Jan 2022

Portfolios published on or before 16th Jan 2022 would be considered for the contest (given they have registered). Portfolio returns from 16th Jan 2022 to 21th Jan 2022 will be used to identify winners.

Dividends will not be part of any computations and quantities could be fractional based on weights assigned.

If you have already published a blueprint as part of any of the contests, you just need to relogin to mahogha, for your blueprint to be considered for contest 5

If you have already published a blueprint on Mahogha, you still need to register for this contest by clicking “I’m in” in registration page on App. Your existing portfolio will then be considered for the contest and you may edit the same and re-publish at any time.

4. General rules

  • Users should be 18+years
  • Mahogha Fintech reserves the sole and absolute right to alter the rules if required, to suit the competitive spirit of the contest
  • Mahogha Fintech will not be held responsible for technical issues and non-availability of the platform at any time during the contest period
  • In case of any disputes, the decision of Mahogha Fintech will be final and binding on all the participants
  • The amount allocated to each participant is purely virtual and cannot be liquidated into real money. Any profit or loss made in this game is virtual and only for the purpose of the competition
  • Mahogha Fintech reserves the sole and absolute right to change the prizes at any given point ofly time
  • Winner’s name and image would be used for any legitimate purposes by Mahogha Fintech including publishing of the same on website and marketing
  • Only stocks/ETFs listed on NSE would be available for the portfolio building.
  • Portfolio blueprints with Penny Stocks (price less than Rs.10) would not be considered for the competition.
  • Only portfolios with positive returns would be considered for the competition.
